Experience a Prehistoric Adventure at Nashville Zoo's DinoTrek

Nashville families and dinosaur enthusiasts, get ready for an exciting adventure! The Nashville Zoo is bringing back its popular DinoTrek exhibit this spring and summer, providing a unique opportunity to step back in time and walk alongside life-sized animatronic dinosaurs. From March 6 through July 26, visitors can explore the largest installment yet, featuring nearly 50 massive dinosaurs, some towering over 20 feet and weighing more than 5,000 pounds.

What to Expect at DinoTrek

The DinoTrek experience begins at a hidden entrance near the Historic Grassmere Home and Farm within the zoo. Guests will wind through a wooded path filled with interactive and realistic dinosaurs that not only look lifelike but also move, growl, and roar! Educational signage throughout the exhibit allows families to learn fascinating facts about both familiar and lesser-known dinosaur species.

Species on Display

As part of this stunning display, families will encounter a plethora of species, including fearsome predators like the Tyrannosaurus Rex and gentle giants like the Apatosaurus. Other featured species include:

  • Allosaurus
  • Brachiosaurus
  • Carnotaurus
  • Stegosaurus
  • Giganotosaurus

This impressive lineup not only captivates visitors but also opens up conversations about the importance of conservation and understanding our ecosystems, both for the creatures of the past and those today.

Accessibility for All Guests

To ensure that every guest has the chance to enjoy this experience, DinoTrek offers sensory-friendly hours without movement or sound on select mornings. This thoughtful addition caters especially to guests who may benefit from a quieter environment, making it easier for families with sensitivities to engage fully with the exhibit.

Join the Adventure and Contribute to Conservation

Tickets for DinoTrek are available for just $5 per person, with free admission for children under 2. Though this experience requires a separate ticket from zoo admission, it's a fantastic addition to your day at the Nashville Zoo, where conservation and connection to wildlife are at the forefront of its mission.

If you’re looking to inspire your young dino lovers, join us this year for a journey through time that educates and entertains. The Nashville Zoo continues to play a critical role in wildlife education and conservation efforts, and events like this help foster a community that values and supports these initiatives.
